I have forgotten my username/password

Magazine subscribers should consult the plastic wrapper of their magazine, and use the URN number and surname displayed on the wrapper as username and password respectively. (The diagram on the homepage shows where to look.) If you do not have a plastic wrapper available, please call 01858 438809 for assistance.

Web-only subscribers should use the username and password with which they signed up. If you have forgotten your username, please contact us on info@cddata.co.uk. If you have forgotten your password, you can click on the Forgotten Password? link to retrieve it automatically.

Can I have multiple users in one organization?

You can only have one user per login. However, we are able to create additional logins to facilitate multiple users. If you require this service, please contact info@cddata.co.uk.

Subscription Information

Why do I need a subscription?

C+D Data is a comprehensive database of products sold through pharmacy in the UK. It is produced and kept up-to-date every week by a team of specialists. This service is funded by subscriptions.

How do I subscribe to C+D Data and/or Price List?

To take out a web-only subscription, please click on the Subscription Required? button on the homepage. These are currently priced at £120 pa ex VAT.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Web-only subscribers must wait until 24 hours before renewal. From this point onwards, after logging in, they will be prompted to renew and given the option of paying by bill or by credit card. In the event of any problems, please contact us on info@cddata.co.uk.

Using the site

How do I tell you if there is a mistake?

Although the information in C+D Data is quality-checked, we are still reliant on thirdparty information providers. From time to time you may find an error or an omission.

If you are a manufacturer or supplier and the information which you wish to correct or include is for one of your own products, you can do so through our data entry portal.

If you are a subscriber and have identified any errors and/or omissions please let us know via our Contact Us page.

How do I change my account details?

In the bar near the top of the screen, click on either your name or the My Account button.

The C+D Data product information

Where does C+D Data get its drug information?

C+D Data works with manufacturers to receive their complete and up-to-date information. In addition, we also incorporate information from other sources such as the DM+D; quality-check the data; and crossreference it with other sources such as the Drug Tariff.

How often is the information updated?

The information is updated on a daily basis and available instantly on this website. Update files are published and provided to system suppliers each week. Weekly updates are also available to download as PDFs from the Data Updates page of the site.

Monographs

What are monographs?

Monographs are structured text describing the clinical properties of a medicinal product. They comprise different sections covering the Indications, Dosage, Contents, Cautions, etc.

The C+D Data monographs are aimed primarily at consumers, and are worded accordingly.

For which products are monographs available?

Monographs are available for all medicines, both over the counter and prescription-only.

How do I obtain the monographs?

These are made available primarily as part of C+D Data's e-commerce package, which also includes images, categorisation, etc. To discuss taking the C+D Data monographs as part of an e-commerce package, or for any other purpose, please call Michael Pavey on 020 7921 8422.

How many images do you have?

As of July 2010, we have approximately 7000 images, and are growing the library all the time. It covers the vast majority of OTC medicines and several thousand popular front-of-shop lines such as toiletries, cosmetics, fragrances, etc.
